The Round Tower at Castleton-Lyons

Round Tower at Castleton-Lyons Farm, Lexington, Fayette County

Dr. Tony Ryan, owner of Castleton-Lyons, had the round tower built
in 2003 as a reminder of his native Ireland.  The tower is an
exact replica of the ancient round tower at the Rock of Cashel
in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Made of fieldstone from the land on which it sits, the round tower is 124.5 feet tall.  The tower is lit every
night, and on St. Patrick's Day the lights are Irish green.
