The Kentucky Children's Garden

The Kentucky Children's Garden at the Arboretum, Kentucky State Botanical Garden, Lexington, Fayette County

One of the first things you'll see upon entering the children's garden is this colorful horse and this painted metal screen.

Detail of metal screen shown in the previous photo

Also near the entrance is a very cool butterfly-shaped butterfly garden.

Several sections of the pathway throughout the garden are imprinted with leaves, plants, and other natural materials.

Even footprints!

When I visited the garden last week, it was full of children, caregivers, and teachers enjoying the many
learning and activity centers available.

This mosaic was one of my favorite finds.  Can you tell what materials were used to create this?

Not yet completed or open to the public is this amazing outdoor railroad.

I can't wait to visit again!
