Switzer Covered Bridge

Switzer Covered Bridge, Switzer, Franklin County

Switzer Covered Bridge was built in 1855 and was restored in 1906 and again in 1990.  Flood waters in March 1997 washed the bridge from its foundations.  It was completely restored in 1998.

The bridge is a Howe truss design and is about 120 feet long.

Sadly, graffiti covers the inside of the bridge.

"The ox is slow but the earth is patient"

North Elkhorn Creek flows under the bridge
